Barnes & Noble Coming Soon to Belden Park Crossings in Jackson Twp
Barnes & Noble is excited to announce the grand opening of its newest store at Belden Park Crossings in Jackson Twp, Ohio, on Wednesday, February 12th at 10 AM. The store will offer a vibrant space for the community, featuring a wide selection of books, events, and activities for all ages. This new location is part of five Barnes & Noble stores opening across the country in February, joining new locations in New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Washington.
Belden Park Crossings, a premier 490,000+ square-foot regional power center located at I-77 and Everhard Rd NW in North Canton, is home to major retailers such as Fresh Thyme Farmers Market and Kohl’s. It sits directly across from Belden Village Mall, the largest enclosed mall in Stark County. The Barnes & Noble store is located at 5501 Dressler Rd. NW, in the former Arhaus space next to Fresh Thyme and across from Target and Kohl’s.
The Grand Opening day will feature author readings and book signings by local authors. Anastasia Hastings, author of the popular Dear Miss Hermione mystery series, will lead the ribbon-cutting ceremony and sign copies of her latest novel, Of Hoaxes and Homicide.
On Saturday, February 15th, the store will host a Kids Grand Opening Party with story times, crafts, games, and a special guest appearance by Pete the Cat.
“We are thrilled to fulfill the community’s wish for a Barnes & Noble in North Canton,” said Store Manager Jennifer Meredith, a longtime Barnes & Noble Bookseller. “We can’t wait to welcome our customers to this beautiful new space.”
The store will feature the popular Barnes & Noble Café, serving coffee, pastries, and snacks, along with a Paper Source Gift Department for unique gifts and stationery. Designed with a cozy atmosphere in mind, the store is the perfect place to relax with a good book. Natural light pours in through a massive skylight, while the soothing sound of rain tapping on the glass and the aroma of freshly brewed coffee fill the space. The store also boasts an oversized fireplace, comfortable seating, and an updated Café for a truly inviting experience.
Barnes & Noble is experiencing significant growth as its strategy of empowering local booksellers to manage stores has proven highly successful. The company has opened more new stores in the past year than in the entire decade from 2009 to 2019, and it expects to open over 60 new locations in 2025.
