Mendel opened his first restaurant Mendel’s Backyard BBQ in Surfside, FL in 2017 and then Mendel’s KC BBQ in Shaker Heights, OH in 2023 which grossed nearly $2 million in sales its first year, solidifying his reputation for great food. This new venture reflects Mendel’s passion for cooking with fire and offering customers a special dining experience.
